Hi! I am Amanda Meyer, owner of The Lighthouse Dyslexia Center. I chose this name because throughout history, lighthouses have provided hope and guidance. I am a licensed and certified Davis Dyslexia Facilitator. I came across the Davis program while searching for help for my son. It was our light in the fog! I opened my center to provide hope and a guiding light to others.
I am a certified teacher through the Texas Education Agency with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Technology. I also have my G/T certification and have been trained through TEA in TAKS. Prior to opening my center, I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
I truly believe in the Davis procedures, as I have seen my clients achieve their goals while their self-esteem soars. I would be honored to help guide you and/or your loved one down the path to success as they discover how to empower themselves by using their natural gifts to reach their own goals!
